It was a busy day for the Federal Communications Commission Thursday as the Senate confirmed Julius Genachowski as its next chairman and re-upped Commissioner Robert McDowell's term. President Obama also officially nominated Mignon Clyburn and Meredith Atwell Baker as new commissioners.
